Just one show into a 13 date tour to promote his latest album, legendary East Nashville based Americana storyteller Todd Snider is “allegedly” mugged and beaten up in South Salt Lake, Utah, just outside the venue he was to perform at.
When police refused to take him to the hospital, Snider somehow made it on his own, only to be discharged without proper care, according to Snider.
After being asked to leave, a visibly upset Snider returned to the hospital to air his grievances. Cops were called and Snider was arrested, spending the night in jail.
Since his release from jail, Snider has not been seen or heard from. A hastily written statement from his record company has only added mystery to this already disturbing tale.
